The Advertisers

In case you haven't realized it, all these ads belong to me. Each of them is trying to convince my website visitors to take my inventions more seriously.

But you are reading this series of webpages to inspect a new way of internet DVOA. So I have my doubts that my ads for business English or petroleum economics can have much of an effect on you because you probably have no interest in these products.

But have you noticed my ads?

Imagine how your great website, with your great content can work with very classy ads handled by DVO DVOA. Imagine your target audience being both more engaged with the content and paying more attention to the DVOA you have chosen to put on your website. Is this not a great recipe for better ad revenue?

And here's something else you should realize. Of all my ads, only one ad was prepared by a professional artist. I designed the rest of these ads myself with only a very basic understanding of good graphic design. And I used a very basic banner-making program that, if you look closely at these ads, has a few raw edges to it. My ads look nice, but they really don't have that professional touch.

If my ads were surrounded by text, they probably would be ignored and most visitors would be annoyed with the DVOA. Yet when I stack my ads vertically in the left column—and away from the content, something magical happens to them: They look much better artistically than they really are.

This whole webpage is very ironic. First it makes my mediocre ads look great. Second, by giving more space to DVOA, both the reader engagement and DVOA attention is enhanced. DVO DVOA should take the credit for this profitable paradox: if the ads disappear—or even if there's only one ad space, this webpage gets very ordinary looking very quickly. Yet with three or more ever-changing ad spaces stacked on top of each other, the webpage is much more vibrant. Increasing ad space actually increases visitor engagement. This is not logical!

I wish I could explain it to you why I got so lucky with this webpage design and my mediocre ads. Perhaps you should reflect on the implication of why you have made it this far into the journey for DVO DVOA. Have you been entertained by the ad show?

I admit my limitations in graphic and website design. It will be real interesting what a professional artist can accomplish with DVO DVOA.
