A Social Experiment
I encourage all early adopters of Consensus to be open and encourage the implementation of the double-log formula to calculate Influence.
If the double log formula becomes part of Consensus, I predict the following:
- A minority of members will really like the process of Influence and its double-log formula.
- A minority of members will really hate the process of Influence and its double-log formula.
- Of this minority, very few will leave Consensus because of Influence and the double-log formula.
- Most members won't care about how Influence is used in voting.
- Some will vote.
- Some will not vote.
- If they don't vote, the double-log formula is unlikely to be the reason.
In other words, the double-log formula will not be the reason Consensus fails to gain usefulness and popularity.
